About The Role

Fujitsu is seeking an experienced Consultant to join its high-performing AI & Data team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge data engineering, modeling, and visualization initiatives that deliver real business impact within a hybrid work environment across major cities in Australia.

As a Consultant, you will enjoy a high level of autonomy, tackle complex and meaningful challenges, and work closely with clients as a trusted technical advisor across diverse industries. You will have opportunities to shape solutions, mentor others, contribute to major programs, and support both delivery and pre-sales activities, accelerating your career in a fast-moving, innovative environment.

Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Designs and develops technical solutions for problems of moderate complexity, with minimal guidance.
  • Works with a low level of supervision, successfully executing assignments involving collaboration with client junior to middle management.
  • Contributes to defining customers' overall IT architectures, designing new solutions of small to medium size and complexity, and managing independent contributions.
  • Welcomes coaching and guidance from peers, demonstrating good interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
  • Provides input to technical proposals, making recommendations for solution/service trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
  • Contributes to and may be responsible for technical input, designing solutions.
  • Stays updated with technological changes and proactively obtains certifications in skills relevant to the Fujitsu AI & Data team.
  • Ensures timely delivery of assignment deliverables within budget and to quality standards.
  • Alerts to opportunities for follow-on business and communicates new business opportunities for Fujitsu.
  • May be responsible for coaching or overseeing the work of more junior team members.
  • Develops specialist knowledge in a particular subject and/or market sector.

Requirements

Essential
  • Strong SQL
  • Excellent stakeholder management ability
  • Agile delivery methodology experience
  • Understanding of Data warehousing concepts
  • Datalake/Lakehouse experience
  • Professional consulting skills
Desirable

Development experience in at least one of the following:

  • PowerBI or PowerApps Development
  • Front-end and software engineering skills (PHP, Angular, React or similar)
  • Databricks or Spark
  • Python
