Job Description

About Fuelerate

Do you love turning clean Figma designs into fast, scalable Shopify builds? In this role, you’re not just coding sections. You are building high-performing Shopify stores that power real eCommerce growth.

If you enjoy solving problems, writing clean code, and shipping projects without being babysat, this is your role. At Fuelerate, development is not about “just making it work.” It’s about building clean, scalable foundations that perform under pressure. We value ownership, speed, quality, and problem-solving.

You'll Thrive Here If...

  • You fix problems before being asked
  • You think logically
  • You care about code quality
  • You move fast but clean

You Will Not Enjoy This Role If...

  • You need constant instructions
  • You write messy, patch-style code
  • You wait for someone to solve problems for you
  • You move slowly

We want builders, not task-followers.

Key Responsibilities of a Shopify Developer

This role exists to turn Figma designs into scalable, clean Shopify builds. You will:

  • Build full Shopify redesigns from scratch
  • Convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect Shopify themes
  • Customize themes cleanly using Liquid and JSON templates
  • Develop CRO-related test variants
  • Implement performance best practices
  • Optimize for speed and technical SEO fundamentals
  • Collaborate with Designers, PMs, CRO specialists, and QA
  • Debug efficiently using DevTools
  • Use AI tools to improve speed and productivity

You’ll work on real client stores. Your builds must be scalable, logical, and easy to maintain. To succeed, you must understand Shopify deeply, not just surface-level theme editing.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Strong Shopify Liquid knowledge
  • Deep understanding of Shopify theme architecture
  • Solid HTML, CSS, JS
  • Experience replicating Figma designs accurately
  • Familiarity with GitHub
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Understanding of performance and SEO basics
  • Agency or multi-client experience preferred

Mid–Senior level or Senior level. Best portfolio wins.

Not a fit if you…

  • Need babysitting
  • Avoid solving problems independently
  • Ship sloppy code
  • Break things during simple updates
  • Move slowly without urgency

Why Fuelerate

We are a performance-driven growth partner for Shopify brands.

  • Fully remote
  • Real ownership
  • No corporate bureaucracy
  • Fast-moving team
  • Growth path → Senior Dev → Tech Lead → Head of Dev

If you perform, you grow fast.

Details

  • Type: Full-time
  • Trial: 3 months
  • Reports to: Head of PM & Development
  • Compensation: $1,500–$2,000/month, depending on experience and quality
