Job Overview
FSD Africa is inviting proposals for a Consultant to lead Workstream 1 of the Nairobi Climate Adaptation & Resilience Plan (NCARP) – Phase I. This pioneering initiative aims to quantify the cost of climate inaction in Nairobi and develop a robust climate risk model to inform future adaptation investments.
The Consultant will deliver a comprehensive analysis of Nairobi’s exposure to climate impact drivers through spatial modelling, scenario-based forecasting, and interactive tools development to support decision-making by the Nairobi City County Government (NCCG).
The role demands expertise in climate risk modelling, economic and social impact analysis, and urban resilience planning, with a preference for experience in African urban contexts and public sector engagements.
Project Duration & Submission
This engagement runs from October 2025 to March 2026, with subsequent deliverables contributing to broader NCARP programming until December 2026. Proposals must be submitted by 12:00 PM EAT on 21 October 2025 and any queries directed to bids@fsdafrica.org by 13 October 2025.
