Responsibilities
The Sr. Solution Architect is an embedded, accountable architect responsible for guiding modernization initiatives and product enhancements from business intent to shipped outcomes. This role partners with product and business leaders to uncover workflows, translate policies into domain language, and ensure stable, scalable solutions.
- Partner with product leaders to translate workflows into design decisions.
- Lead domain modeling through bounded contexts and event storming.
- Define service boundaries and integration seams for safe modernization.
- Build POCs, demos, and reference implementations for teams.
- Ensure non-functional requirements such as availability and security are met.
Qualifications
Required Skills: Experience with Domain Driven Design, bounded contexts, modernizing legacy systems, strong API and asynchronous messaging design, and high-quality POCs. Clear communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.
Preferred Skills: Experience with decomposing legacy systems, event-driven design, platform capabilities such as API gateways, observability practices, and mentorship in DDD techniques.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent required with 10+ years of hands-on experience in architecture, software engineering, system engineering, or similar roles.
Compensation & Benefits
This role pays between $145k to $195k depending on skills, experience, and location. Additional rewards and holistic benefits including health, financial, and employee stock options may apply.
