Responsibilities
Our intermediate Software QA Engineer L3 works with Product Managers and Development teams to understand features and technical implementation, and ensure our sites, products, and platforms perform to industry-beating quality levels. It is expected that the person must strive to raise the bar of QA practices and establish high quality test standards under moderate supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute smoke, regression, functional, performance, and other test cases as needed.
- Ensure test cases have full traceability back to business requirements and technical specifications.
- Understand software internals, debug issues, review logs, and write automated tests with scripting and automation tools.
- Communicate testing metrics to stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Log and retest defects.
- Identify and maintain test data requirements.
- Assist in complex internal process improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and train QA Engineer L2s.
- May include other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Functional testing experience from writing to executing test cases.
- UI automation and understanding of the framework.
- REST API testing and automation experience.
- Problem-solving skills and openness to code using any programming language, preferably Java.
- Results-oriented, with good interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Performance testing and DevOps experience.
- Working experience on DB.
Physical Role Requirements:
- Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day.
- Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
- Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones.
- Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching, and typing during your normal working environment.
Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required in Information Systems / Computer Science / Engineering / Science / Mathematics with a computer background.
Minimum Experience required:
2+ years of experience required in testing, including automation testing.
Other/State Specific
This role pays between $72,000/Yr to $100,000/Yr, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
