About the Role

Front is the leading AI-powered customer service platform that integrates core support channels into an intuitive workspace. In this role as Senior Applied AI Engineer, you will be designing, developing, and deploying generative AI applications to enhance product features and user experiences.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and deploy generative AI applications using NodeJS and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with product teams to identify AI opportunities.
  • Lead exploration and implementation of state-of-the-art generative AI techniques.
  • Oversee AI model training and scalable deployment infrastructure.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and iterate on AI application performance.
  • Stay updated on the latest ML and AI developments.

What Skills and Experience You Need

Must Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Expertise in production applications using LLMs and generative AI models.
  • Strong experience with prompting techniques, RAG pipelines, and fine-tuning LLMs.
  • High learning agility and a product-centric mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts.
Should Have:
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with team and independent work capability.
  • Proficiency with production-grade web application development using Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Deep knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
Nice To Have:
  • Experience in deep learning, reinforcement learning, or SaaS/multiplayer machine learning implementations.

Work Arrangement & Office Details

This is a hybrid role with expected office presence in Paris on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
