Human Resources Intern at Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions
Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern for a part-time, year-long internship based on-site at our Aurora, IL facility. This unique opportunity offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment encompassing office, production, and warehouse operations.
The role pays $20 per hour, requiring an average of 15–25 hours per week during the school year, with potential to increase to up to 30 hours during the summer. The internship is slated to begin around May 2026 and conclude approximately May 2027. We are looking for students pursuing a degree in Human Resources with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and Summer 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Complete new hire documents, follow up on missing paperwork, address employee questions, and assist with feedback surveys.
- Communication: Update physical announcement boards, develop content for boards and monitors, and assist with annual wellness event announcements.
- Administrative: Manage HR filing, organize terminated files for storage, process invoices, distribute mail, manage badges, stock lunchroom supplies, coordinate lunch orders and setup, conduct I-9 audits, and upload completed trainings in QT9.
- Computer: Support social media for employer branding, assist with new hire data entry in ADP, and conduct general research on benefits or event ideas.
- Benefits: Aid with new hire manual benefit enrollments in ADP, send enrollment deadline reminders to supervisors, and support benefit-related projects.
- Employee Engagement: Actively participate as a member of the event planning committee.
- Recruiting: Review resumes, conduct basic phone screens, and attend job fairs.
- Coordination: Organize onboarding and activities for other interns.
Qualifications
- Expected graduation date between December 2026 and Summer 2027, pursuing a degree in HR or a related field with strong interest in HR.
- Ability to work on-site in Aurora, IL year-round, part-time. Wednesdays are a required workday.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Prior internship or job experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Canva, and PDF.
- Demonstrated strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
