Azura Anesthesiologist Outpatient Surgery Role Overview

Azura Vascular Care, a division of Fresenius Medical Care, is a national leader in vascular specialty services. We are seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist for our outpatient surgery center in Philadelphia. This role offers M-F schedules with no on-call, weekend, or evening duties, and opportunities available as Per Diem, Full Time, or Part Time.

Key Responsibilities

As a CRNA at Azura Vascular Care, your responsibilities include:

• Pre-Anesthesia Assessment & Planning: Conduct evaluations, obtain consent, and develop care plans.
• Medication & Equipment Management: Select and administer anesthetics and ensure equipment safety.
• Anesthesia Administration: Provide anesthesia and sedation, manage airways during procedures.
• Intraoperative & Peri-Anesthetic Monitoring: Monitor patient condition and adjust care accordingly.
• Post-Anesthesia Care & Discharge: Manage recovery, follow-up, and patient discharge.
• Pain Management & Advanced Techniques: Implement strategies including regional anesthesia.
• Emergency & Critical Interventions: Provide support in airway, cardiovascular, and respiratory emergencies.
• Compliance, Safety, & Collaboration: Ensure safety, adhere to standards, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Education and Credentials

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program, hold current state licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, be currently certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists, and have appropriate malpractice insurance.

Experience and Skills

• 8–12 years of related experience with 5 years preferred in a CRNA role.
• Proficient in operating anesthesia equipment and providing clinical support.
• Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Knowledgeable in patient care, infection control, and safety protocols.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The position is based in a healthcare facility with controlled temperature and moderate noise levels. The role requires prolonged standing, lifting over 50 pounds, and occasional travel (10-15% during business hours with occasional overnight stays).
