Experienced Functional IT Tester (Freelance)

Overview of the Role

The consultant participates in the functional chain validation, covering components, their interactions, and end-to-end testing. Unit tests are already completed, and a portion of tests are currently being automated.

The role involves:

• Analyzing specifications (User Stories) and modeling them as requirements.
• Defining and maintaining the test base (TESTPLAN) according to sprints and batches: requirements, test cases, data sets, etc.
• Piloting the prerequisites for test execution.
• Executing tests: regression, confirmation, evolution.
• Executing automated procedures (documented).
• Writing and tracking anomalies.
• Ensuring test traceability.
• Communicating progress and projections.
• Sharing potential blocking points and associated actions / requests / remediations.
• Maintaining the scope's reference documentation: processes, methods, tools, etc.

The profile primarily performs validation of functional components, while aiming to ensure:

• The sustainability of the established test materials.
• Proactive management of test campaigns (especially tracking corrective actions).
• End-to-end testing (in collaboration with partners).

The solution is developed in the AZURE environment. The test material is based on the AZURE test suite (TEST PLAN) to ensure technical-functional coverage and traceability of the Information System's quality. All tests are conducted globally without a Human-Machine Interface; API tests represent a small part of the techniques to be used.

Candidate Profile

Within the QA team, this role reports to the Test Manager. Operationally, the consultant intervenes on various components driven by sub-projects and also interacts with Project Managers, Product Owners, and development team leads.

Candidates must possess solid experience in software qualification, including practical Scrum knowledge and test management tools.

Key requirements:

• Mandatory English: for documentation, specifications, and meetings.
• Developed communication and synthesis skills.
• Mastery of SQL (high number of control points and validation).
• Knowledge of the DEVOPS environment is desired.
• Given the technical environment, knowledge of architectural principles and mastery of basic technical tools for log processing, API testing, etc., are a plus.
