Cybersecurity Architect at Free-Work

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Design Consultant with extensive expertise across the Cyber Defense product portfolio. The primary objective is to develop and execute migration plans for Cyber Defense services to new data centers, collaborating closely with a project manager and product teams within a significant program.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Working within the CD OneDC project team, in collaboration with product teams and the project manager, the consultant will undertake the following actions:

  • Ensure the existence of service availability monitoring criteria and plans for products.
  • Verify the presence of a test plan to validate service functionality during migration phases.
  • Identify dependencies of Cyber Defense products and services.
  • Contribute to updating or creating Low Level Designs post-migration.
  • Assist with the technical migration of the existing Cyber Defense product portfolio to new virtualized data centers.
  • Structure and enrich the project backlog, executing associated deliverables.
  • Participate in the project's architectural and product governance.
  • Co-create communication sessions with stakeholders and expert teams.
  • Lead the technical security architecture for Cyber Defense service migration plans (from Belgium and Germany to France).
  • Define multiple options, outlining their advantages and disadvantages.
  • Explain the pros and cons of service consolidation, including technical, organizational, and financial impacts.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to develop a realistic migration plan, including estimations.
  • Ensure migration plans are compatible with the client's technical context and environment.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to guarantee a smooth migration without compromising security.
  • Partner with product teams to define requirements and integrate them into migration plans.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to improve standardization of architectural models and solutions.

Ability to engage in senior-level conversations on the following topics:

  • General understanding of information security concepts, risk assessments, cyber defense technologies, and security architecture.
  • Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions and best practices (e.g., CyberArk, Thycotic).
  • Password complexity verification tools.
  • Hardware Security Modules (HSM) (e.g., nCipher, Thales, Utimaco SecurityServer, YubiHSM).
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions (e.g., Forcepoint, Microsoft, Teramind).
  • Antivirus solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, Sentinel-One, Symantec, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint) covering workstations, gateways, and storage.
  • Network security: IPS, firewall, DDoS protection, Secure Web Gateway, Shadow IT monitoring, Secure Email Gateway, Web Application Firewall (e.g., Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, SkyHigh, Z-Scaler).
  • Security Operations Center (SOC) - log collection (e.g., ArcSight, Sentinel, AMA, Beats, Cribl).
  • Troubleshooting skills for operating systems and network issues.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to plan and guide others through execution.
  • Aptitude for identifying gaps, limitations, and improvement opportunities.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent presentation skills for diverse audiences, technical and managerial.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory; other languages are a plus.
