Role Summary

The Quantitative Research Analyst at OSAM will enhance portfolio optimization and tax-aware portfolio construction frameworks, supporting simulation and live portfolio workflows. This role requires close collaboration with portfolio managers, developers, and researchers to translate research into production systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investment research and run simulations of investment strategies.
  • Perform large-scale backtests to assess strategy efficacy and tax impacts.
  • Work with robust data pipelines and APIs using C#, Python, and SQL.
  • Interface with portfolio managers, risk teams, and technology groups.
  • Apply statistical methods and machine learning for factor generation and validation.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering, Physics, or Quantitative Finance; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in quantitative research, financial data engineering, or software development.
  • Expertise in C#, Python, SQL and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid understanding of statistical modeling, portfolio optimization, and risk modeling.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary ranging approx. $110,000 - $130,000 plus bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, 401(k), paid time off, and more.

Work Arrangement

The role is based in Stamford, CT; New York City; or another nearby East Coast location, with a hybrid or remote schedule.
