The Investment Compliance team at Franklin Templeton supports the firm’s global investment platform by ensuring investment activities comply with client mandates, regulatory requirements and internal policies. The team performs risk-based monitoring, testing, and analytics to identify potential compliance risks and strengthen control environments. Working closely with global investment teams and compliance stakeholders, the team plays a critical role in protecting clients and safeguarding the integrity of the firm’s investment processes. This is a dynamic and growing function that offers exposure to global asset management operations and opportunities to help modernize and enhance compliance practices. We are seeking a detail-oriented and forward-thinking Compliance Analyst who is motivated to contribute to a growing Investment Compliance function. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and comfortable working with data, controls, and regulatory requirements. This role suits a professional who enjoys identifying risks, strengthening processes, and collaborating with stakeholders, while bringing a proactive and innovative mindset to support enhancements in compliance monitoring, reporting, and analytics.How You Will Add Value?
- Conduct periodic and thematic compliance reviews in line with the established monitoring and testing plan.
- Perform process walkthroughs to understand regulatory requirements and related procedures.
- Execute testing of internal controls, assessing both design and operating effectiveness.
- Identify & escalate actual or potential compliance risks, control deficiencies and procedural gaps.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging risks.
- Leverage data analytics to strengthen monitoring and reporting outcomes.
- Prepare clear and concise test sheets summarizing review scope and findings.
- Collect, validate, and analyze data for reporting, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
- Support the continuous improvement of monitoring methodologies and analytics capabilities.
What Will Help You Be Successful In This Role?
Experience, Education & Certifications
- A bachelor’s degree in finance or related field is required.
- Professional certification such as CA, CIA, FRM or CFA preferred.
- Two to five years’ experience in asset management, advisory, or investment banking.
- Prior experience in compliance monitoring, control testing, or regulatory reviews is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of control environments and risk-based monitoring approaches.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Experience using data analytics or data visualization techniques preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL and/or Excel VBA preferred.
- Familiarity with Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools preferred.
- Experience with Charles River or Aladdin investment compliance systems preferred.
