About the Role
Franklin Fitch is seeking a skilled Network Engineer with strong Fortinet expertise to join our expanding MSP team. In this contract-to-hire role, you will be instrumental in designing, deploying, securing, and supporting diverse customer networks, ensuring no two days are alike.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, deploy, and support Fortinet-based network and security solutions.
- Manage FortiGate firewalls, including policies, VPNs, SD-WAN, HA, and UTM.
- Work extensively with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and other related Fortinet products.
- Troubleshoot complex network and security issues across a variety of client environments.
- Provide support for LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and wireless infrastructures.
- Assist with project implementation, system upgrades, and customer onboarding processes.
- Deliver 2nd/3rd line support and offer mentorship to junior engineers as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies is essential.
- Proven experience working within an MSP or multi-tenant service environment.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and VPNs.
- A proactive mindset towards firewall and security best practices.
- Fortinet certifications (NSE 4/5/6 or equivalent) are highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- A customer-first attitude, demonstrating proactivity and responsiveness.
