About Framework

Framework is actively seeking certified, experienced, and creative educators to deliver engaging, high-quality virtual tutoring. This role involves working with a diverse group of elementary, middle, or high school students across various math and ELA subjects. Tutors will provide instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings, utilizing provided curriculum and interactive slide decks. Sessions vary from 15 to 60 minutes and take place on a secure online platform.

Position Details

  • Start: March 16, 2026
  • Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 7:00-7:45 PM EST (all three days are required)
  • Certification: Math 6th-8th
  • Employment Type: W-2, part-time (no guaranteed minimum hours)
  • Pay: $35/hour for tutoring, $20/hour for administrative/prep time
  • Location: Remote - candidates must reside and work within the U.S.
  • Eligibility: Legal U.S. resident certified in General Education, Math, or ELA

Responsibilities of a Virtual Math Tutor 6th-8th

  • Deliver live, virtual tutoring to students in both 1:1 and small group settings.
  • Cultivate a safe, fun, and interactive virtual classroom environment.
  • Utilize provided curriculum to engage students in interactive, goal-focused learning.
  • Adapt instruction effectively to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Administer scheduled assessments as required.
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with the Framework Tutor Operations Team.

Requirements

  • Possess a current, valid U.S. teaching license in Math 6th-8th (expired licenses will not be accepted).
  • Additional Special Education or ESL certification is a plus.
  • Availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7:00-7:45 PM EST is mandatory.
  • Must have a reliable computer with a microphone and camera, stable internet access, and a quiet workspace.
  • Ability to successfully pass a federal background check, which may include fingerprinting.
  • Comfortable with using various online teaching tools and platforms.
  • Prior online tutoring experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
