We are seeking a senior level leader to advance our Master and Reference Data Management (MDM/RDM) program, with a particular focus on the Service Catalog that defines how we deliver services to clients.Role Overview
As a Business Data Governance Analyst, you will work closely with senior data governance leaders, business stakeholders, and technology teams to help define, maintain, and steward enterprise master and reference data. This is an execution-focused role with strong opportunities to learn enterprise data governance practices in a global, professional services environment.Key Responsibilities
Support the Service Catalog as a Product
- Assist with maintaining the Service Catalog, including business definitions, attributes, and metadata.
- Help document and update catalog structures such as hierarchies, taxonomies, and classifications.
- Support intake, review, and change management processes for catalog updates.
- Ensure catalog data aligns with downstream needs such as reporting, operations, and automation.
Participate in MDM / RDM and Data Governance Activities
- Support onboarding of master and reference data domains under governance.
- Help apply standards for naming conventions, identifiers, hierarchies, and code sets.
- Assist with stewardship workflows, approvals, and documentation.
- Work with senior team members to track decisions, actions, and governance outcomes.
Assist with Data Quality within MDM/RDM domains
- Help monitor basic data quality metrics (e.g., completeness, validity, duplication).
- Support issue tracking, triage, and documentation of root causes.
- Assist with remediation efforts by coordinating with data owners and system teams.
- Contribute to preventative controls such as validation rules and standardized intake templates.
Collaborate Across Teams
- Partner with business, product, and technology teams to support consistent use of governed data.
- Assist with aligning Service Catalog data to enterprise data models, glossaries, and metadata tools.
- Help document use cases and requirements related to analytics, integration, and automation.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience supporting data, analytics, data governance, or related initiatives in an enterprise environment.
- Foundational understanding of data concepts such as data quality, metadata, data standards, and governance principles.
- Experience working with data documentation, data cataloging, or reporting tools (or a strong willingness to learn).
- Ability to work collaboratively with business, technology, and data stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to document information clearly and engage with diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Demonstrated curiosity and learning mindset, with interest in enterprise data platforms and tools (e.g., Informatica, Profisee, or similar).
- Ability to escalate issues appropriately and seek guidance when needed in a fast‑paced, client‑service environment.
