Job Overview
The Affordable Housing Leasing Consultant is the community's sales representative. You will interact with potential and existing residents, conduct property tours, process rental applications, secure lease agreements, and assist with renewals. All duties must adhere to Fair Housing Laws and FPI Management policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relations: Uphold owner philosophies and meet client expectations.
- Communication: Maintain professional interactions with residents, applicants, vendors, and clients.
- Leasing/Occupancy: Execute professional leasing techniques and maintain occupancy targets.
- Reporting & Document Management: Manage resident files and update reporting systems.
- Risk Management: Report incidents timely and react professionally during emergencies.
- Facility Maintenance: Assist residents with maintenance reporting and follow-ups.
- Other Duties: Enforce community rules, adhere to dress code and complete all required trainings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Familiarity with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD, USDA-Rural Development, etc.).
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role or related customer service fields.
- High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Proficient in English with strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management software, RealPage).
- Must have a valid, unrestricted U.S. Driver's License for operating a site-owned golf cart.
Location & Employment Details
This position is located at Richfield Place, 6001 Grammarcy Cir, Richmond, VA 23227, USA. It is a full-time, on-site role.
