About the Role

FOX is seeking a Distinguished Engineer, Quality Platform to spearhead the development of a modern, AI-enhanced, end-to-end quality engineering platform. This platform will be crucial for assuring, validating, and scaling product excellence across all FOX digital offerings. This high-impact role involves designing, building, and operationalizing a next-generation test automation platform to enable engineering teams to deliver high-quality code faster. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical visionary with extensive platform experience and a passion for modern development practices.

A Snapshot of Your Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and scale FOX’s next-gen Quality Engineering Platform using best-in-class solutions, leveraging adopted patterns, languages, and AI/ML automation.
• Introduce a self-service quality solution supporting natural language test scripting, self-healing automation, and real-time CI/CD test triggers.
• Own and evolve a quality framework that supports backend, frontend, data, and live-streaming environments.
• Build comprehensive dashboards and telemetry to track regression risk, defect leakage, and code quality.
• Enable teams and leadership to proactively identify quality thresholds and take timely, informed action.
• Establish best practices in AI/ML-powered test optimization, shift-left enablement, and developer-focused tooling.
• Ensure the platform continuously evolves to keep pace with DTC platforms and products.
• Partner with engineering, product, and DevOps leaders to embed quality throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Influence and enable a hybrid network of in-house engineers and vendor partners to drive tooling adoption and a strong quality culture.
• Evangelize FOX’s quality vision internally and externally as the unified platform (FOX One) scales.

What You Will Need

• 15+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in senior-level platform or infrastructure architecture roles.
• Proven experience establishing and enforcing engineering standards for high-scale, low-latency distributed backend systems (e.g., Golang/Java, AWS).
• Demonstrated success building and scaling internal platforms utilized by software engineering teams.
• Deep hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks, observability, developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and quality telemetry.
• Experience integrating AI/ML into testing workflows, including natural language test creation and self-healing scripts.
• Proficiency with Momentic, Mabl, Postman, Appium, Playwright, and similar development and testing platforms for large-scale automation.
• Track record of building quality frameworks in high-scale SaaS, streaming, or digital media environments.
• Prior success transforming a manual QA culture into a developer-owned quality model.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional influence, engaging effectively with engineers, product managers, and executives.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting high-concurrency live environments, such as sports streaming.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, test orchestration, and test data management platforms.
