Overview

As a Private Client Advisor at Foundation Source, you will be a trusted point of contact for private foundations and their advisors. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in structured environments, enjoy problem-solving through deep expertise, and value meaningful, long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Stewardship (30%)

  • Serve as primary relationship manager for a portfolio of private foundations.
  • Respond to client inquiries with care and precision.
  • Provide insights and updates for long-term engagement.
  • Support client retention with high-value and trustworthy service.
  • Collaborate with sales and relationship teams in prospect meetings.

Operational Oversight & Coordination (30%)

  • Manage administrative and compliance processes ensuring legal obligations.
  • Coordinate with departments such as grantmaking, tax, legal, and technology.
  • Maintain accuracy, timelines, and process integrity.

Client Onboarding & Education (30%)

  • Lead onboarding of new foundations using the Impactfully platform.
  • Provide knowledge on private foundation regulations and best practices.
  • Offer well-informed recommendations on growth opportunities.

Professional Development & Process Improvement (10%)

  • Expand expertise in philanthropy, nonprofit compliance, and Foundation Source tools.
  • Identify opportunities for internal process improvements.
  • Engage with teams to evolve systems improving client service.

Requirements

1–2 years experience in a client-facing, administrative, or compliance support role; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office; and ability to manage multiple client portfolios with integrity and confidentiality.

Remote Work Environment

Must have a dedicated home workspace, reliable high-speed internet, and ability to meet physical demands as described.

Salary Description

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000.
