Job Description
About The Role
Fortune Media is building its marketing technology practice from the ground up — and this is the role that connects the vision to execution. We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to sit at the intersection of marketing technology and platform engineering. This is a high-impact, high-velocity IC role for someone who is equally comfortable writing detailed API specs and driving cross-functional alignment at the executive level.
You will own the technical roadmap for a portfolio of Martech and platform initiatives — from launching mobile apps and building new APIs to designing integrations with custom and third-party tools. You partner closely with engineering leads to co-own solutioning, unblock delivery, and champion a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision making.
This is a foundational hire on a new team with direct visibility to senior leadership and genuine scope to shape the systems Fortune will rely on for years to come. The role reports to the Senior Director of Platforms and Martech.
This role is NOT eligible for candidates inside/outside the US on Visa and may need a Visa sponsorship in future. This is a permanent role, candidates with OPT status is NOT eligible.
What You’ll Own
Product Requirements & Prioritization
- Prioritize product work across martech and platform product initiatives using clear principles and explicit tradeoff frameworks
- Write PRDs in Confluence and create JIRA tickets for the designers and engineers to be able to push the product work towards completion.
- Adapt fluidly between structured project management and open-ended problem discovery and solution design
Technical Delivery
- Drive high-velocity, data-driven delivery in close collaboration with engineering leads
- Co-own technical solutioning for all platform integrations — including custom-built and third-party tools
- Partner with engineers on new platform initiatives: mobile app launches, new API development, and integration architecture
- Define detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for both martech and platform features
Execution & Process
- Support the Senior Director in streamlining process flows, maintaining documentation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day execution
- Identify and eliminate delivery bottlenecks across the product and engineering org
- Serve as the connective tissue between business stakeholders and engineering — translating ambiguity into clear, actionable specs
Experimentation & Analytics
- Design and execute A/B tests to measure the impact of technology initiatives on both revenue and user experience
- Use analytics platforms and business intelligence tools to track KPIs and measure ROI
- Translate data insights into strategic recommendations that inform roadmap prioritization and investment decisions
What You Bring
Required
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a technical or platform-focused role
- Curiosity, resourcefulness, and persistence that drive you to get to the bottom of complex problems and create elegant solutions
- Scrappy, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to be dropped into any situation and thrive—you figure it out, you don't wait for perfect conditions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities—you use data to inform decisions, but you also know when to trust your instincts and move quickly
- The ability to learn new software and tools quickly—you don't need to know everything on day one, but you need to be able to pick things up fast
- Experience writing detailed product requirements and working closely with engineering teams to ship high-quality products
Preferred
- AI-forward approach to product development—you leverage AI tools to accelerate your work (writing specs, analyzing data, generating insights) and apply your product expertise to refine outputs. We're not AI-in-the-loop; we're using AI to get smarter and move faster. If you're not there yet, you need to be excited about developing this skill
- Experience working in media, publishing, or content-driven businesses
- Experience with Salesforce Sales cloud, Marketing cloud and any ESP
- Proficiency with specific analytics tools (Google Analytics, Looker) and project management software (Jira, Asana, Confluence)
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals, SEO, and how page performance impacts advertising
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and optimization frameworks
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $140,000 – $160,000 base + 10% target bonus
- 20 vacation days and 2 personal days, plus 11 company holidays and an honor-based sick leave policy
- Health, dental, and vision coverage (90% paid for individuals and families) with HSA contributions and flexible spending accounts
- 401(k) plan

- A commitment to an open, inclusive, and diverse work culture
