Job Description

The Senior Manager, Operations Accounting will lead the operations accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving process improvements. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, you will manage a team of accounting professionals and collaborate with partners in operations, finance, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the operations accounting team with coaching and development.
  • Oversee month-end close process ensuring GAAP compliance.
  • Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for inventory and manufacturing variances.
  • Analyze operational financial results and report on production costs.
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain for strategic financial insights.
  • Drive process improvements, standardize policies, and ensure SOX compliance.
  • Recruit, train, and manage the accounting staff.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial schedules.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; 10+ years of accounting experience; 3+ years in management; strong GAAP, reporting, and internal controls knowledge; proven process improvement leadership; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel.
