DTC Merchandising and Operations Manager

Fortune Brands is seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchandising and Operations Manager to oversee the development, execution, and optimization of merchandising strategies and operational functions across our Water products. This role enhances product offerings, drives operational efficiency, and ensures a seamless customer experience online and in-store.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising Management:

  • Lead merchandise planning and assortment strategy to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams for effective presentation in DTC Brand shops.
  • Implement in-store and online product displays driving consumer engagement and sales.
  • Monitor consumer behavior, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Align merchandising with seasonal promotions, brand standards, and consumer preferences.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily operations related to inventory management and fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain for timely deliveries and stock management.
  • Manage product flow between warehouses, distribution centers, and online stores.
  • Develop and implement policies to streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Monitor and report on operational metrics to optimize performance.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Partner with Growth Business Managers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and customer service.
  • Work with analytics team to set and track departmental goals and KPIs.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and product performance.
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership for informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Operations Management or related field with 5+ years of experience in merchandising, operations, or supply chain management (ideally within the Water industry). A strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, retail merchandising and product lifecycle management is essential. Must be proficient in data analysis, forecasting, performance reporting, and excellent cross-departmental collaboration.
