Role Overview

The Lead Infrastructure Engineer role is based in Deerfield, IL and is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing FBIN’s IT infrastructure. This includes seamless integration of hardware, software, networks, and cloud services to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Design and Strategy: Develop scalable infrastructure solutions, integrate cloud and on-premises systems, and evaluate emerging technologies.
• System Implementation and Maintenance: Manage storage solutions, virtual environments, networking systems, and automate processes using scripting tools.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor infrastructure engineers while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and ensure adherence to regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize monitoring tools for performance and cost efficiency optimization.

Skills and Competencies

Key skills include strategic thinking, technical expertise in systems and cloud platforms, leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (advanced degrees a plus).
• Minimum 5-8 years experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in backup applications, virtualization, networking protocols, cloud platforms, and scripting.
• Certifications such as CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure Expert are desirable.
