Overview
The Technical Product Manager at Fortra plays an essential role in defining, building, and launching successful enterprise software products. Whether you’re an experienced professional or an emerging talent, your contributions matter as you tackle meaningful challenges alongside a collaborative team.
What You'll Do
Market Analysis: Monitor technology trends and competitive landscapes including technical trend analysis and competitive strengths and weaknesses.
Product Strategy: Conduct market research, analyze technology assets, and determine the optimal strategy (buy, build or partner).
Product Planning: Define user scenarios, develop product roadmaps, package features into compelling releases, and oversee development for timely, quality delivery.
Product Release & Launch: Lead beta testing, support early-stage installations, document issues, and train sales, partners and channel teams.
Subject Matter Expert: Provide market and solution insights to support Marketing, Sales and Technical Support.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of relevant software development or product management experience.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and marketing.
- Ability to interact effectively with executive management.
- BA/BS in a technical field preferred.
- Proficiency in internet, web and social technology protocols like HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP.
- Experience in anti-phishing and brand protection solutions within enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs and AgenticAI workflow development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on n8n experience.
- Comfortable with OpenAI, Azure Open AI, Anthropic, Grok APIs.
- Experience with Microsoft Graph API, Salesforce API and related enrichment calls.
Compensation & Additional Information
Expected compensation is C$90,000 - C$125,000. Fortra offers competitive benefits, professional development, and flexibility. This is a new position encouraging applicants of all backgrounds.
