About the Role
Fortinet is seeking experienced Consulting Systems Engineers (CSE) for its FortiGate/SASE Enterprise team, based in Sophia Antipolis, France. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about networking and security technologies who can effectively communicate their expertise. While proximity to the Sophia Antipolis office is beneficial, remote candidates are also encouraged to apply.
What You Will Do
As a CSE, you will be instrumental in supporting the sales team on challenging and demanding projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing design assistance, architectural guidance, and technical advice.
- Conducting extensive lab testing of solutions, optimizing for performance.
- Delivering results through written reports, technical summaries, and presentations.
- Assisting sales teams with technical queries and remote Proof of Concept (POC) activities.
- Contributing to RFP responses and writing New Feature Requests.
- Delivering technical seminars and training to internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities & Activities
- Collaborate with sales teams on complex projects, offering design, architectural, and technical expertise.
- Perform in-depth lab testing using advanced tools and equipment to validate and optimize solutions.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively through detailed reports and presentations to senior technical stakeholders.
- Support field-based remote Proof of Concept (POC) activities and lead POCs conducted in the Sophia Antipolis office.
- Provide technical input for Request for Proposals (RFPs) and collaborate with the Engineering team on new feature development.
- Conduct technical seminars and training sessions for both internal teams and external clients.
Required Skills and Experience
Successful candidates will possess:
- Deep and broad knowledge of networking technologies, including IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
- Expertise in VPN technologies such as IPsec and SSL/TLS.
- Proficiency in network security concepts and solutions.
- Experience with Secure SD-WAN and SASE frameworks (FWaaS, SWG, CASB, ZTNA).
- Familiarity with public and private cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenStack).
- Knowledge of security features like IPS, Anti-virus, Web filtering, and SSL/TLS Deep Inspection is valuable.
- While FortiGate knowledge is a plus, flexibility is appreciated. Understanding of competitor products is also beneficial.
- Strong ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
- Excellent communication skills, including presentation, technical writing, and verbal communication.
- A genuine enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and technical information.
