Job Overview
The Analyst HRIS Functional is responsible for supporting and optimizing HR business processes, systems, and reporting. This role analyzes current processes, identifies gaps, recommends improvements, and collaborates with HR and IT teams to enhance system efficiencies, automation, and data accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading HR process analysis by identifying gaps and researching best practices.
- Maintaining, supporting, and enhancing PeopleSoft HR modules and ensuring integration with other HR systems.
- Performing User Acceptance Testing for system updates and process improvements.
- Collaborating with IT to develop automation solutions and system enhancements.
- Training HR staff on system enhancements and new processes.
- Documenting processes with job aids, SOPs, and workflow charts.
- Supporting HR transactions including leave, compensation, benefits, and employee records.
- Overseeing annual HR processes like School Year Renewal and summer hours processing.
- Maintaining HR data integrity via regular audits and reconciliation.
- Ensuring compliant state reporting through coordination with HR, Payroll, and IT.
- Generating HR reports and data extracts to support decision-making.
- Analyzing HR data trends and tracking key performance indicators.
- Maintaining core table setups and performing regular HRIS updates.
- Collaborating with IT and external vendors for system troubleshooting.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with HRIS platforms (PeopleSoft preferred).
- Experience in configuring HCM systems and supporting HR functions like Compensation and Benefits.
- Experience with process mapping and redesign.
- Preferred experience with TSDS PEIMS file submissions, Skyward extracts, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and SQL.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in a team.
Working Conditions
The position involves classroom, office and meeting room environments. Occasional physical activity is required and the role may involve extended hours during project deadlines, travel to campuses and meetings, including some evenings and weekends.
