Job Overview
The HRIS Functional Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing HR business processes, systems, and reporting. In this role, you will analyze current processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements while collaborating with HR and IT teams to enhance system efficiencies, automation, and data accuracy.
Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead HR process analysis by identifying gaps and researching best practices.
- Maintain, support, and enhance PeopleSoft HR modules (Compensation, Benefits, Absence Management, etc).
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system updates and enhancements.
- Partner with IT to analyze and implement automation solutions.
- Train HR staff on system enhancements and new process implementations.
- Document HR processes using job aids, SOPs, and workflow charts.
- Support HR transactions including leaves, absence management, and employee records.
- Oversee annual HR processes like School Year Renewal and leave entitlements.
- Conduct audits to maintain HR data integrity.
- Ensure accurate reporting for state submissions and compliance.
- Generate HR reports and data extracts for informed decision-making.
- Maintain core table setups and system configurations.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors for troubleshooting and enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with HRIS platforms; PeopleSoft preferred.
- Experience in configuring HCM systems and supporting HR functions.
- Familiarity with process mapping and redesign for improved efficiency.
- Preferred experience with TSDS PEIMS files, Skyward extracts, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and SQL.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in classrooms, offices, work stations, and meeting rooms. Occasional physical activities include walking, standing, sitting, bending, and lifting items up to 40 pounds. Travel to various campuses, district sites, and conferences may be required, including some evenings and weekends.
