Career Opportunity: Investments CO-OP
Foresters Financial is looking to hire talented post-secondary students for an Investments CO-OP role. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn and gain valuable exposure within the financial services industry, contributing to a dynamic team and gaining practical experience.
Purpose of Role
The Investments CO-OP will support the Investments team by monitoring, consolidating, and analyzing financial data, assisting with reporting, and contributing to process improvements and digital enhancements. This role offers hands-on experience in various aspects of investment operations within a reputable financial institution.
Job Description
- Monitor and consolidate data for internal portfolio dashboards and reporting packages.
- Support documentation management, data analytics, and ad-hoc requests.
- Assist in the preparation and review of performance, risk, and governance reporting.
- Help streamline and standardize recurring reporting processes.
- Conduct research on industry peers, competitors, and market trends in insurance portfolios.
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows using Microsoft Copilot, and developing process improvements to optimize research and reporting.
- Contribute to documentation of digital enhancements best practices.
- Support the ongoing implementation of a Sustainability Risk and Reporting project.
- Support other enterprise-wide priorities as necessary.
Key Qualifications
- Completed a minimum of two years of post-secondary education and pursuing a degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or Economics.
- Will be returning to a post-secondary educational institution in fall 2025.
- A team player and self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Excel proficiency with ability to analyze, interpret, and manipulate data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Available to work full-time from May to August 2025.
- Ability to come onsite in a hybrid capacity.
- Flexible and dynamic individual who can adjust and prioritize accordingly to adapt to business demands and requirements.
