Overview
The Vehicle Cyber Security Systems Engineer at Ford will perform comprehensive cyber security assessments across multiple Ford product lines. The role involves compliance reviews, threat analysis, risk assessment, and integrating cyber security requirements throughout the product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Perform product Cyber Security assessments and compliance reviews per Ford processes.
- Review technical documentation to assess compliance with ISO 21434, UNECE R155, UNECE WP.29, and other regulations.
- Manage cybersecurity requirements in the design and development lifecycle from requirements gathering to testing.
- Collaborate with feature and ECU owners to ensure security by design.
- Conduct threat analysis, risk assessments, and security audits.
- Leverage global supplier expertise and adhere to audit standards.
- Present program milestones and reports to management.
- Utilize JIRA and Kanban boards for effective project management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience with embedded and/or automotive systems and 3+ years with in-vehicle network architecture and protocols.
- Experience with Hardware Security Module (HSM), Secure Hardware Extension (SHE) and several programming languages (C, C++, C#, Python, Java, CAPL, JQL).
- Excellent documentation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with automotive standards (ISO 14229-1, ISO 21434) and quality methodologies (FMEA, DVP).
- Proven project management and agile methodology experience.
