About the Role
Come join our team at Ford Motor Company for an exciting opportunity as a Supplier Technical Assistance Electronics Engineer. Operate at the intersection of electrical engineering, material science, and advanced manufacturing by optimizing PCB/PCBA fabrication and assembly.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as global lead and Subject Matter Expert in electronic manufacturing processes and special process assessment.
- Provide technical input during supplier sourcing and assess supplier capabilities.
- Coach and mentor process specialists, Site STA, and suppliers on manufacturing standards.
- Lead new process implementations from concept to production including electronic manufacturing technologies.
- Drive deployment of Ford/CQI standards, SPC, and DOE for quality improvement.
- Conduct risk assessments for new manufacturing technologies and support industrialization.
- Represent Ford in industry standards development and compliance.
- Analyze machine settings for pick-and-place, solder printers, reflow ovens, and machine vision systems.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize production data; support AI/ML driven defect detection.
- Manage documentation, tooling, and fixture standards for repeatable quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred for added advantage).
- Minimum 5 years experience in electronic manufacturing and machine setting analysis.
- Proficient with industry standards (IPC, IEC, ISO, ANSI, MIL, IATF) and relevant regulations.
- Flexibility to travel across North America.
Compensation & Additional Details
The expected annual salary ranges from $87,000 to $137,000 with eligibility for an annual compensation bonus program. This position is with Ford of Canada, an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a culturally diverse workforce. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
