Role Overview - Senior Test Engineer

The Senior Test Engineer is the technical anchor responsible for physical assessments in the Body & Chassis Test Lab. This role ensures quality and timely delivery of corporate physical tests during Design Verification (DV) and Production Validation (PV) phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned tests and coordinate with planners and lab supervisors.
• Lead Rig Safety Audits and S.T.A.R.T. processes to ensure safety.
• Operate underbody hydraulic test rigs and pneumatic/hydraulic test procedures.
• Utilize fatigue-damage and frequency analysis to enhance test efficiency.
• Engage in quality initiatives and lead robust Root Cause Analyses (RCA).
• Translate corporate requirements for trades-staff and liaise with global SMEs.
• Author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and lead weekly Tech-Club meetings.
• Mentor engineers and scout training opportunities to improve team capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in an engineering environment.
• Familiarity with MTS test control systems is highly desirable.
• Strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Catia is an advantage.
• Proven commitment to Health & Safety and effective team leadership.
