Job Description

About Ford Motor Company

We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we’re all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

As a global leader in advanced mobility solutions, our outstanding team of legal professionals helps us navigate the continually changing legal and regulatory landscape. In our Office of General Counsel, you’ll be part of an organization that collaborates with outside counsel to operate as a global team and deliver world-class legal, tax and audit services to client groups throughout the company.

The Senior Innovation Analyst Role

The Senior Innovation Analyst leads strategic oversight of external spend programs, blending financial analysis, operational governance, and process innovation. This role drives transparency, stewardship, and continuous improvement through data-driven insights, stakeholder partnership, and the adoption of enabling technologies (including AI) to modernize workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight of billing operations and related roles, ensuring consistent execution, compliance, and service quality.
  • Lead detailed spend analysis to identify trends, risks, savings opportunities, and performance insights across vendors and service providers.
  • Conduct strategic reviews of invoices and billing patterns to improve accuracy, enforce guidelines, and optimize value.
  • Support negotiation planning and vendor management by providing analytics, scenario modeling, and performance reporting.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (finance, procurement, operations, technology, and business teams) to improve governance and decision-making.
  • Coordinate financial and billing processes across regions, including support for multiple currencies and varying business requirements.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives that reduce cycle time, improve data quality, and enhance user/vendor experience.
  • Help evaluate, develop, and implement AI-enabled solutions to automate tasks, improve compliance, and enhance reporting/insights.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning for systems and tools, including requirements definition, change management, and adoption support.
  • Develop executive-ready reporting and storytelling to communicate spend drivers, savings outcomes, and operational performance.

Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Experience in spend management, financial analysis, strategic sourcing/procurement, vendor management, or operational transformation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex spend data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without relying solely on authority.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-changing environment with multiple priorities and stakeholder groups.
Even Better you'll have...
  • Experience managing e-billing, invoice compliance, or professional services spend categories.
  • Familiarity with multi-region financial operations (currency, tax/regional process differences, and system interoperability).
  • Experience supporting or leading technology implementations (automation, analytics tools, AI-assisted workflows).
  • Strong negotiation support skills (benchmarking, rate analysis, value-based comparisons).

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we’ve outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
  • Tuition assistance
  • Established and active employee resource groups
  • Paid time off for individual and team community service
  • A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day
  • Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.
