About the role
IT Network Operations and Infrastructure Engineer
We are seeking an experienced IT professional with strong expertise in network operations and infrastructure management. This role will focus on WAN/LAN operations and network projects, while also supporting telephony systems, datacenter operations, and IT governance/security compliance.
Responsibilities
Network Operations
- Manage On-Site Network Infrastructure: Oversee core and access network devices like switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi controllers, and APs.
- Monitor network health, performance, and availability using existing tools.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting for outages, latency issues, link flaps, and hardware failures.
- Coordinate upgrades, patches, and configuration changes with central network teams.
- Ensure physical infrastructure quality, including cabling, rack layouts, patch panels, and labeling.
- Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and asset inventory.
- Support expansion, relocation, or refresh of network hardware during projects.
- Ensure compliance with network security policies and access control standards.
- Work with ISPs, vendors, and site facility teams for connectivity and power-related dependencies.
- Provide on-site support during incident resolution, audits, and planned maintenance.
- Regular audits, port health checks, power & UPS dependencies, and environmental checks in network rooms.
- Regular Server Operation, like Patch upgrade and daily Server incident.
- Understanding of Data Center framework and internal connectivity.
Network Project Management
- Lead network deployment, migration, and refresh projects.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for timely delivery.
Infrastructure & Telephony
- Oversee datacenter and co-location operations.
- Manage PRI lines, IP Phones, and IPCC systems.
IT Governance & Security
- Drive Change Management (CAB) and Incident Management processes.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks (GRC, SCRP, MCRP) and support audits, BCP, and DR activities.
Automation & Reporting
- Utilize PowerApps for workflow automation and Power BI for dashboards and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
- 3+ years in network operations and infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and telephony systems.
- Familiarity with IT governance and security compliance.
- Preferably - Hands-on experience with PowerApps and Power BI.
- Certifications: CCNA, ITIL preferred.
