Overview
The IMG VP Launch and Localization Engineer at Ford Motor Company is responsible for the delivery of IMG Vehicle Personalization Programs across all JMC programs, ensuring that program milestones are met and all issues are closed before Job 1.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the JMC team to support development of body Exterior, Interior, Chassis, and Electrical Ford Accessories for the Dealer channel.
- Manage commodity development including parts validation and launch with problem solving for engineering issues.
- Lead cross-functional team meetings, including electrical diagnostics and root cause investigations.
- Participate in color harmony, fit to nominal, craftsmanship reviews, and ensure proper sign off on local commodities.
- Consult with VP LVEA about engineering constraints and new accessory design requirements.
- Oversee project time planning, milestone tracking, and ensure timely deliverables.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (speaking and writing).
- Experience with JMC Electrical Architecture and Systems.
- Hands-on experience with JMC Electrical diagnostics tools and wiring schematics.
- Strong negotiation skills with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work across multiple time zones (China, India, Australia).
- Automotive industry experience with knowledge of Teamcenter, CATIA, and tooling is a plus.
- Familiarity with JMC Software tool and CAN knowledge for root cause investigation.
