Latching System Design and Release Engineer

Job Role
The Latching System Design and Release Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, release, and implementation of handles, locks, latches, and mechanisms (HLM) for various vehicle closures including hoods/frunks, side doors, tailgates, liftgates, and decklids.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop HLM components for vehicle closures.
- Validate and release designs ensuring compliance with FEDE, SDS, Design Rules, and Regulatory standards.
- Drive improvements for quality, cost, and weight optimization.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manage manufacturing assembly requirements.
- Oversee attributes including package, design feasibility, NVH, water management, craftsmanship, and crash safety.
