Role Description
As an Infrastructure Developer in the Platform Engineering Team, you will treat infrastructure as code. You will develop, deploy, and maintain automated, scalable, and resilient systems across our hybrid environment, encompassing Microsoft Azure and on-premises data centers. This role requires building robust solutions from the ground up, meeting the high-performance and strict security demands of the financial sector. A comprehensive understanding of the infrastructure ecosystem and hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and DevOps tools are crucial.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade infrastructure code using tools like Terraform, Azure Bicep, and Pulumi for continuous deployment of cloud and hybrid resources.
- Develop and implement automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible for configuration management across Windows and Linux server fleets, ensuring state consistency.
- Design, deploy, and manage container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes (k8s), utilizing Helm for package management.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO) and Jenkins for automating the delivery of application code and infrastructure changes.
- Implement and integrate enterprise-grade Secret Management solutions to secure credentials and sensitive data.
- Conduct Proofs of Concept (POCs) and implement solutions for advanced Monitoring and Logging to ensure real-time visibility into system health and performance.
- Ensure seamless and consistent connectivity, identity management, and operational patterns between Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
Experience Required
- B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or a related technical field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Infrastructure Development, DevOps Engineering, or Systems Administration with a strong coding focus.
- Expert-level, hands-on experience with at least two major Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Azure Bicep, Pulumi).
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating services within the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
- Deep practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes (k8s), and Helm.
- Demonstrated ability to use Ansible (or similar tools like Puppet/Chef) for configuration management.
- Proficiency in designing and managing automated pipelines using enterprise tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jenkins.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Experience Preferred
- Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) or DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) certifications.
- Experience writing custom providers or modules for Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, or similar secret management solutions.
- Practical experience with specialized monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and centralized logging systems (e.g., Splunk, ELK stack).
- Strong foundational knowledge of hybrid networking (ExpressRoute, VPN, DNS) in both Azure and on-premises environments.
