About the role
Junior Merchandise Planner
Are you ready to join a fast-growing global retail brand? At Flying Tiger Copenhagen, we’re looking for a Junior Merchandise Planner to join our Commercial Planning team!
As a Junior Merchandise Planner at Flying Tiger Copenhagen, you will support the planning team in executing key processes related to sales forecasting, inventory planning, and reporting. You will help ensure product ranges are optimized to meet business targets, while learning the fundamentals of open-to-buy management, campaign planning, and assortment building. The role is ideal for someone highly analytical, meticulous, and enthusiastic about data, retail, and product performance. You will be based at our headquarters on Strandgade in the heart of Copenhagen, where you will report directly to Head of Merchandise Planning.
Main responsibilities
- Build and update sales, margin, and inventory forecasts.
- Support the maintenance of the open-to-buy (OTB) and highlight variances.
- Work with the Merchandise Planner to track inventory flow and optimize stock levels.
- Support the preparation of campaign plans and range selection materials.
- Help gather data and insights to guide assortment decisions.
- Produce weekly and monthly sales and KPI reports for the merchandising team.
- Monitor category and product performance, providing data to support planning actions.
- Assist in preparing business review decks for internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with planners, buyers, and supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate planning data.
This is you
- 2-3 years in planning or merchandising.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables and presentation).
- Highly meticulous, analytical, and curious about numbers and trends.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Degree in related disciplines or educated in the field is a plus but not a requirement.
