About the Excavator Operator Role

At Fluor Corporation, we design and build projects and careers in a collaborative work environment that encourages innovative solutions and safety. As an Excavator Operator, you will contribute to the successful completion of bridge, roadway, and other infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Perform cleanup, material handling, storage duties, and use hand and power tools.
  • Operate hydraulic or cable-operated excavators to dig, excavate, and transport materials.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Read blueprints and site plans to determine placement and depth for excavation.
  • Coordinate with team members to align excavation activities with project timelines.
  • Document work activities, engine gauges, safety checks, and incident reports.

Job Requirements

Mental & Physical Demands: Follow oral and written instructions, work safely at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various environmental conditions.

Working Conditions: Extreme heat or cold, high noise levels, wet/humid environments, and cramped quarters.
