About the role
About Fluidstack
At Fluidstack, we build the compute, data centers, and power that will fuel artificial superintelligence. We work with Anthropic, Google, Meta, AMI Labs, and Black Forest Labs to deploy gigawatts of compute at industry defining speeds. We are investing tens of billions of dollars in US infrastructure. In 2026, we will deploy 1GW. In 2027, 10GW.
Our team is small, fast, and obsessed with quality. We own outcomes end-to-end, challenge assumptions, and treat our customers' problems as our own. No task is beneath anyone here.
There are a few thousand people who will shape the trajectory of superinteligence. Come and be one of them.
About The Role
We're seeking elite talent snipers who can identify and close the top 0.01% of candidates in the world. You'll build Fluidstack's team by sourcing exceptional talent, evaluating against an uncompromisingly high technical bar, and moving at startup speed. In partnership with hiring managers and leadership, you'll architect sourcing strategies to discover hidden gems, design rigorous evaluation frameworks that separate good from extraordinary, and close candidates who have their pick of opportunities. Our team is deeply aligned with Fluidstack's mission to build the backbone of AI and empower the most critical AI companies in the world– and believe this starts with exceptional talent.
What You’ll Do
- Source the unsourceable: Build creative pipelines to discover top 0.01% talent before they're on anyone else's radar—leveraging unconventional channels, deep technical communities, and tailored outreach to engage the most sought-after candidates.
- Assess at the highest technical bar: Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to design and execute rigorous sourcing and evaluation processes that identify truly exceptional technical capability, not just resume credentials, at top of funnel.
- Build scalable talent infrastructure: Design sourcing playbooks, assessment frameworks, and data systems that maintain quality at speed as we scale.
Focus/What We Value
- Exceptional sourcing craft: Deep expertise in finding passive candidates through technical communities, GitHub, research papers, conference talks, and non-obvious channels.
- Technical fluency: Ability to assess highly technical candidates, understand nuanced skill differences, and have credible conversations with engineers.
- Speed as a competitive advantage: Relentless bias toward action—ability to build pipeline and move candidates through process in days, not weeks, while maintaining rigor.
- High signal recognition: Pattern recognition to quickly identify the 0.01%—knowing what truly exceptional looks like and filtering ruthlessly.
- Builder mentality: Thrives in ambiguity, creates structure from scratch, and iterates rapidly based on data.
Must Haves
- 5-10 years of sourcing experience with proven track record sourcing top 0.01% technical talent (specific hires you're proud of).
- Experience hiring at companies with exceptionally high technical bars (top-tier tech companies, AI labs, elite startups).
- Deep sourcing expertise across technical communities—GitHub, arXiv, technical conferences, niche Discord/Slack groups, academic networks.
- Experience at high-growth tech companies or startups, preferably cloud/infrastructure, AI/ML, or data centers.
