About Fluffernutter
Fluffernutter is an innovative company building an AI-powered iOS app that transforms messy camera rolls into beautiful monthly video journals. Our robust backend is already live and stable, with a working product in place.
Our lead engineer is currently managing all aspects of backend development (Python), AI orchestration, testing, infrastructure (GCP), and release management.
The Opportunity: Fractional Technical Project Lead
We are seeking a part-time Fractional Technical Project Lead to bring structure and discipline to our engineering efforts. This role is crucial for providing clarity, establishing rhythm, and ensuring structured execution within our system.
This is distinct from a traditional Project Manager role; you will not be managing a team of engineers. Instead, you will empower our sole lead engineer to maintain focus, reduce potential overwhelm, and proactively prevent regressions across our Python + GCP microservices stack.

What You'll Do
- Map and understand service dependencies within the system.
- Define precise "done" criteria before development tasks commence.
- Structure clear weekly execution plans to maintain progress.
- Proactively identify potential breakpoints to prevent bugs.
- Systematize and refine testing workflows for efficiency.
- Maintain a consistent and reliable release cadence.
- Bring overall consistency and predictability to our one-developer, AI-powered environment.
