Your Responsibilities
- Design, configure, program, and maintain control systems supporting Milling and Grinding products.
- Develop and optimize control strategies for SAG mills, ball mills, FTM and VXP mills, and HPGRs.
- Responsible for Inspecting, Testing and Verifying functionality of Control System applications in a timely manner.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to correctly assemble and test electrical components.
- Read, interpret and Troubleshoot PLC/HMI Software to properly test Machine Control Systems.
- Conduct final quality checks, verify wiring for accuracy and defects, and ensure all work conforms to specifications and standards.
- Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, findings, and steps taken to resolve issues.
- Create reports and release notes for any changes made.
- Provide technical support to other engineers, developers and external engineering resources.
- On demand, participate in review meetings with client/consultant for review and finalization.
- Ensure all necessary project information is properly stored and accessible to field engineers.
- Promote a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities.
- May work on research and development projects, travels to regional offices, job sites and as required in remote or local support of equipment problems, installations, and startups assists.
What You Bring
- B.E or similar in Electronics, Electrical, Automation or equivalent.
- Proven experience in control system programming and networking.
- PLC/HMI programming experience (Siemens and Rockwell are preferred).
- Industrial Protocols like Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Device Net etc.
- Experience from working in heavy machinery industry.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
