The STIIIZY Janitorial Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments within FlowerHire's facilities. This position is responsible for comprehensive cleaning and sanitizing, removing debris, and ensuring all areas are consistently orderly and presentable. With a strong commitment to high standards and attention to detail, the Janitor I supports a productive and comfortable workspace for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs heavy cleaning duties, including vacuuming and buffing floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, emptying trash receptacles, and replacing trash can liners.
• Cleans and services restrooms, restocking supplies with mops and disinfectants.
• May include tending furnace and boiler, performing routine maintenance, and notifying management of needed repairs.
• Responsible for cleaning snow or debris from sidewalks as required.
• Monitors building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to prevent hazards.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior janitorial experience is preferred.
• Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.

Requirements

• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Available to work various schedules, including flexible day and night shifts.
• This is a Part-Time Position, approximately 20 hours a week.
• Reliable service performance with on-time, regular attendance.
• Ability to complete assigned work on time with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of cleaning products and willingness to acquire additional skills.
• Adaptable with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Willingness and ability to undergo cross-training in various roles.
• Must be able to endure prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer.
• Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and twisting for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 40 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
