About Float

Float is on a mission to simplify finance for Canadian businesses, empowering them to eliminate complexity and unlock new opportunities. As one of Canada’s fastest growing companies and top-rated startups in 2024 and 2023, Float is customer-obsessed, passionate and entrepreneurial with a team including leaders from Uber, Shopify, Top Hat, TouchBistro, and Ada.

Our Product

Float is Canada's complete business finance platform. It combines modern financial services and software to help businesses spend, save, and grow. Float is trusted by 5000+ Canadian companies and backed by top-tier investors including Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives and OMERS Ventures.

About The Role

As the Product & Customer Marketing Leader, you will own the strategy and execution that turns product into revenue and customers into champions. Reporting to the VP Marketing, you will lead a team of two Product & Customer Marketing Managers and one Lifecycle Marketing Manager. Your mandate will be to drive retention, adoption, and expansion across the SMB and mid-market customer journey.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the customer journey post-sale: map journeys, segment customers, and design lifecycle programs.
  • Turn launches into revenue by partnering on beta recruitment, GTM readiness, and new product launches.
  • Position, message, and price Float’s offerings as market landscapes evolve.
  • Scale advocacy and community by building referrals, reviews, and customer stories.
  • Equip Sales & CS with enablement tools focused on account health and product signals.
  • Instrument, measure, and iterate strategies with RevOps & Data.
  • Lead and develop the team by coaching for outcomes and maintaining high talent standards.

About You

You are customer-focused, act like an owner, think big, and move fast. You have at least 7+ years experience in product, customer, or lifecycle marketing, with a strong record in driving retention and revenue expansion in B2B environments. Fintech, SaaS, or transaction-based model experience is a plus. You are data-driven, collaborative, and comfortable making decisions with imperfect information.

This May Not Be The Role For You If

  • You lack experience in delivering quantifiable results.
  • You prefer stability over rapid growth.
  • You are uncomfortable with balancing strategic vision and hands-on execution.
  • You need well-established processes to be effective.

Why You Should Join

  • Join one of Canada's fastest-growing fintech companies.
  • Make a significant impact in a high-autonomy, high-growth role.
  • Collaborate with an ambitious and supportive team.
  • Enjoy competitive compensation, equity options, and benefits.
  • Work in a hybrid model based in Toronto with regular in-office days.
  • Benefit from catered team lunches and a dog-friendly office environment.
