Regional Operations Manager (m/f/d)

This role owns the end-to-end operational performance of assigned routes and operational areas within the Black Sea region – Romania, Bulgaria and Greece – from onboarding partners and training drivers to monitoring quality, managing projects, and driving continuous improvement across markets. You’ll act as a key operational partner, ensuring high standards, strong relationships, and seamless cross‑functional collaboration.

About the Role

• Route & Partner Onboarding: Technically and operationally prepare bus partners for new route launches
• Route Management & Quality Control: Monitor assigned routes for punctuality, safety, quality, and additional services
• Standards & Optimization: Ensure continuous improvement of connections in line with FlixBus standards
• Driver Training & Partner Support: Train drivers and provide ongoing technical and operational support to bus partners
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with bus partners and other stakeholders
• Project & Crisis Management: Lead complex operational projects and improvement initiatives from planning to implementation, ensuring clear ownership, stakeholder alignment and measurable results and implement action plans in crisis situations
• Reporting & Cross-functional Collaboration: Contribute specialized knowledge to global and local projects, conduct vehicle/driver inspections, and keep all stakeholders informed on results and next steps
• Operational Ownership & Delegation: Take ownership of assigned operational areas, independently manage day-to-day topics, and act as a reliable operational backup for the Senior Operations Manager
  

About You

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and knowledge of bus operations, transportation processes, and partner management
• Fluency in English and Romanian is a must; Fluency in Bulgarian or Greek is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
