Pastry Chef - Flik Hospitality Group
Flik Hospitality Group is seeking a full-time Pastry Chef to join our team at the AT&T Hotel & Conference Center in Austin, TX. This position is available for immediate hire.
Job Summary
The Pastry Chef creates, plans, and supervises the daily production of top-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods. This role ensures recipes and standards are followed, food costs are controlled, and appropriate quantities are prepared. The Pastry Chef is also responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment, supervising kitchen staff, and managing pastry inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Ensures recipes and standards are followed, food costs are controlled, and appropriate quantity is prepared.
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
- Monitors and controls the maintenance and sanitation of the pastry kitchen and equipment.
- Supervises hourly kitchen/pastry associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and performance management.
- Helps plan and implement seasonal menus.
- Orders and maintains pastry supplies and products to ensure appropriate inventory levels.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Previous food handler certificate preferred.
- Previous experience in a pastry role preferred.
Work Schedule:
Full-time schedule; open availability preferred, hours and days may vary, including days, nights, and weekends.
