Freelance Private Equity Specialist

About the Role

The Freelance Private Equity Specialist role at Flexing It® is a consulting position for experienced professionals with strong financial expertise. You will design, test, and evaluate AI (LLM) performance on real-world financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Prompt Design: Create complex, document-based prompts reflecting real financial workflows.
• Document Handling: Review and structure insights from filings, presentations, and benchmark data.
• Evaluation: Score AI model responses using structured rubrics and document rationale.
• Failure Analysis: Identify reasoning errors, hallucinations, and misinterpretations.
• Reporting: Summarize findings into concise, evidence-backed evaluation notes.

Duration & Commitment

This is a ~1 month engagement with a commitment of 4 to 8 hours per day. Remote collaboration is required and successful consultants may transition into a longer-term retainer model.

Skills & Experience

• 6–10 years of relevant Private Equity experience in deal evaluation, portfolio management, or transaction advisory.
• Expertise in financial analysis, valuation, and modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in document analysis and prompt & rubric design.
• Strong communication skills for evaluation reports and investment notes.
• Interest in innovation at the intersection of Private Equity and Artificial Intelligence.

Preferred Background

Ideal candidates are former or current professionals from Investment Banking, Private Equity, Asset Management, or Equity Research. CFA charterholders, FRM, MBA in Finance, or similar qualifications are preferred. Exposure to LLMs and data-driven evaluation is a plus.
