Flexing It is a freelance consulting marketplace that connects freelancers and independent consultants with organisations seeking independent talent.
Flexing It has partnered with our client, a leading global FMCG organization, to engage with a Consultant - Market Research & Data Analysis. The Freelance Market Research & Data Analyst role requires strong hands-on data analysis skills to turn media and marketing performance data into clear, actionable insights. The Consultant should be able to work closely with CMI leads and agencies to deliver structured outputs that optimize brand engagement and demand generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support insight generation across social media and content in partnership with the organization teams, media agencies, creative agencies, and platform partners.
- Work directly with data sets related to media and content performance, including cleaning, structuring, and analyzing data in Excel.
- Build charts, tables, and visual summaries to support performance reviews, learning agendas, and decision-making.
- Analyze media and content performance metrics to identify patterns, trends, and optimization opportunities.
- Ensure smooth quarterly reporting of all creative & media measures reported internally.
- Contribute to the development and updating of best practice guidelines for content and emerging engagement opportunities.
- Support the application of metrics and learning frameworks to assess brand and business impact.
- Assist in preparing clear, well-structured analysis outputs for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct desk research on consumer behavior, cultural trends, platform developments, and media innovations.
- Support the rollout and ongoing use of insight tools, dashboards, and learning systems.
- Manage day-to-day coordination of tasks, inputs, and timelines across multiple projects.
- Maintain documentation, trackers, and learning repositories to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
Skills Required
- Experience in market research, media analytics, digital marketing, or similar support roles.
- Strong hands-on Excel skills (data cleaning, pivot tables, formulas, charting).
- Good working knowledge of PowerPoint, with emphasis on charting, structuring, and clarity.
- Comfortable using the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) on a daily basis.
- Basic understanding of media and digital metrics and the current social environment.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret performance data.
- Solid project coordination and time-management skills.
- Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
