About The Role
The Ottawa-based role for a Vice President Public Affairs & Government Relations is for a seasoned public and government affairs professional with expert knowledge of public policy and federal government. The candidate will be a trusted advisor to develop and execute federal public affairs strategy in collaboration with teams across Canada.
- Develop and execute federal public affairs strategy.
- Provide senior counsel on crisis, corporate positioning, and media relations.
- Lead client relationships and manage teams across multiple accounts.
- Offer mentorship and oversee agency financials and client budgets.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French required.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior level counsel including advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and implement integrated public affairs programs.
- Analyze policy issues and prepare strategic client messaging.
- Manage client relationships, billing, and new business initiatives.
- Coach and mentor team members effectively.
