Are you a Threat Intelligence Analyst II who wants to move beyond basic collection to become a strategic partner for our customers? In this role, you will own the full intelligence life cycle, proactively monitoring illicit environments, identifying critical signals within the noise, and translating complex data into actionable, weekly insights that safeguard our clients' most invaluable assets. We are seeking someone eager to flex their analytical muscles by uncovering high-level trends and patterns across diverse industries while mastering the nuances of operating within the deep and dark web.We Have a Role For You If You
- Effectively execute on tasks and responsibilities independently, while collaborating with other team members on more complex tasks.
- Have advanced Open Source Intelligence (OSSI) and Deep & Dark Web (DDW) research experience.
- Have experience tracking cybercriminal, hacktivist, and/or state-sponsored malicious cyber campaigns and mapping the activity to the Mitre ATT&CK framework.
- Possess a strong capability to conduct in-depth analysis and formulate defensible key judgments for incorporation into strategic and tactical finished intelligence reports.
- Possess a curiosity and a self-starting nature for untangling complex intelligence challenges, combined with a deep-seated commitment to continuous upskilling in evolving threat analysis techniques.
- Have strong communication and presentation skills and a willingness to use these skills to communicate ideas, findings, and analysis to wider audiences.
What You Will Get To Do On Our Team
- Work with our internal teams and customers to proactively identify threats to reduce risk to client businesses, networks, and operations.
- Produce concise, written analysis, visual presentations, and high-quality tactical and strategic assessments of findings to communicate potential risks and impact and inform risk intelligence decision-making.
- Quickly understand and deliver company and customer intelligence requirements.
- Leverage Flashpoint proprietary tools and systems to support assigned tasks.
- Use external tools to synthesize raw data, identify its credibility, and enhance analysis/alerting services to deduce relevance to the client base.
- Nominate new collection sources in support of Flashpoint collections.
- Create keywords/patterns to highlight high signal data within Flashpoint tools.
- Safely navigate and articulate security safeguards within virtual environments while complying with team policies and Rules of Engagement.
What You Will Achieve
- Within 30 days: Fully onboarded and integrated into a team of professional intelligence analysts, assigned a mentor, and provided with necessary accesses, resources, and training.
- Within 60 days: Completed onboarding, familiarized with internal team operations, and developed a robust understanding of customer intelligence requirements.
- By 90 days: Carried out own investigations, drafted and published findings, become familiar with external teams, built working relationships, and become comfortable with day-to-day deliverables.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
- Experience in cyber threat intelligence, threat research, or threat hunting, actively keeping up with the latest threats.
- Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to rapidly and accurately break down technical topics and effectively assess and communicate risks and potential impacts to a wide variety of audiences.
- Exposure to risks facing large corporations and defensive measures employed to mitigate them.
- Experience sifting through large amounts of data to identify threats.
- Proficient utilizing open source tools, internally built tools, or external industry standard tools to find relevant data or risks.
- Familiarity with Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and mitigation strategies to protect client networks from them.
