Fives Solios is actively seeking a Project Cost Controller (F/H) to join their teams in Givors, near Lyon, on a permanent contract (CDI).

Your Role

Your role will be to ensure the financial management of projects throughout their life cycle. As the primary financial referent for project teams, you will guarantee budget reliability, monitor costs, margins, and cash flow, anticipate financial deviations, and actively contribute to operational decision-making and securing project profitability.

Reporting to the Financial Department and working closely with project managers, you will act as the referent for project financial management, from launch to closure, through the following missions:

Project Start-up

  • Establish the initial project budget based on costing elements, in collaboration with project budget managers.
  • Implement the project's financial tracking structure and management indicators.
  • Contribute to the identification of financial risks (including currency risks) from the project launch.
  • Initiate the project cash flow curve (receipts/disbursements).

Project Financial Monitoring

  • Ensure monitoring of actual and committed costs against the budget, in collaboration with budget managers.
  • Update forecasts at completion and analyze variances.
  • Track engineering hour consumption and productivity indicators.
  • Manage invoicing in coordination with sales administration and monitor the cash flow curve.
  • Produce reliable and regular project financial reports.
  • Prepare project reviews (budget reviews, risk reviews) with the project manager.
  • Proactively alert in case of deviations and lead the implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Update budgets based on contractual changes (amendments, scope changes).

Continuous Improvement and Tools

  • Contribute to the improvement of cost control processes.
  • Participate in the validation of tools (ERP, Excel, BI).
  • Disseminate a cost, margin, and cash culture among project teams.

Margin and Results Management

  • Manage margin flow and project profitability.
  • Feed monthly and quarterly treasury reports.
  • Participate in quarterly closings (work in progress, provisions, cut-off).
  • Secure revenue recognition according to project progress.

What We're Looking For

  • A Master's degree (Bac+5) in Finance, Management Control, or Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in an industrial or complex project environment is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of project finance and accounting.
  • Excellent command of budget management and forecasting exercises.
  • Very good command of Excel.
  • Experience using an ERP system, ideally SAP.
  • Good understanding of EPC project environments (hour tracking, milestones, progress).
  • Strong analytical and data processing skills.
