Role Overview

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will implement and support our current and future DNS & Kubernetes architecture in private cloud. You will ensure scalability, resilience, automation, and performance optimization using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and support large scale DNS architecture across clouds and regions.
  • Manage Infoblox DDI, Cloudflare DNS, and Google & AWS DNS solutions.
  • Deploy multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters on BareMetal servers.
  • Leverage CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform/Pulumi, Python, and Bash for automation.
  • Develop continuous delivery pipelines and automated monitoring solutions.
  • Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and performance analysis.
  • Engage in change management and collaborate globally.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.

Requirements

  • 5+ years managing global DNS & Kubernetes on Linux Operating Systems.
  • Expertise in Infoblox DDI systems, Bind9, CloudFlare, GCP and AWS DNS.
  • Proven skills in managing Kubernetes and Ubuntu Linux systems.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code using Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi.
  • Strong scripting skills with Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Familiarity with Cisco UCS, block/file storage, and networking protocols.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and automated test frameworks.
  • Ability to write technical documentation and collaborate in global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Enterprise Common Infrastructure implementations.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience in telco, edge cloud, or large enterprise infrastructures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Work Arrangement

This role offers flexibility with a fully remote option if you reside outside a 50-mile radius from our San Ramon office. For those within the area, a hybrid work arrangement is required with 3 days onsite in San Ramon (M, W, TH).
